With a population of 20 million inhabitants, Syria has one of the highest life expectancies among the Arab Countries, as well as being a significant entry channel to important neighbouring markets.
During the year of 2010, the Arab country received 230 million euros worth of investments in the medical sector, used for the construction of 17 hospitals and the purchase of materials and equipment. With more than 1,200 laboratories and 54 specialized health centres, the Syrian market is open to receive investments and ready to import all sorts of products and equipment for the sector.
The Healthcare Exhibition, to be held from April 14 to 16 in Damascus, is one of the country’s main shows in the medical sector, gathering distributers, wholesalers and manufacturers from 30 countries.
