Fostering encounters to potencialize business and enter new partnership.
In 2009, Saudi Arabia reached the 20th position among the greatest food importers in the world. It was also the 9th main destination of Brazilian exports in this sector in 2010.
The oil sector accounts for 40% of Saudi Arabia’s GDP and 90% of its exports, which translates to high revenues for the country. In the food sector, internal production represents only 40% of the demand, meaning the country strongly depends on imports to supply the growing population’s needs. Food imports in Saudi Arabia represent 18% of the total imported by the Arab market in this sector.
With the purpose of introducing this market’s potential to Brazilian companies, the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce is going to participate at Food Arabia 2011, one of the country’s main events in the sector. The tradeshow shall take place from May 29 to June 1st, in Jeddah. There are more than 280 exhibitors from 22 countries. Contact the Arab Chamber and take part in this opportunity.
The Arab Chamber shall subsidise part of the stand expenses of interested companies.
